We bought this car from DJ Monson’s daughter after his death. He had put in a new motor and was planning to finish it. It had just under 43,000 miles but had been sitting so long. We had to tow it out of the garage with all 4 tires skidding. We tore it down back to the firewall and put in all new steering and brakes. The ’39 Ford was called The Rum Runner. It has a really big trunk area and was able to outrun the police. It is a great little car and really runs well.
