I purchased this 1951 Ford convertible in 2014. The car was built in California. The car had previously been in Oregon. I was told it and other cars had been brought to Southern California and sold to a classic car dealer in Palm Springs and I purchased the car from the dealer. Since I’ve had the car I’ve mostly done mechanical work, such as installing a new convertible top, top cylinders and top motor. Installed a new four barrel carburetor, did brake work and changed out the generator for a 6 volt alternator. I’ve done away with the bull nose on the hood and replaced it with an original hood ornament. I drove a 1951 Ford convertible, like this one, through my high school years and have a lot of fond memories with the car.
